Our mission drives everything we do and determines which clients with whom we work. We are, therefore, delighted to be working with our client Story Fruition as they produce Melanin Stories Matter. The idea for Melanin Stories Matter came as a result of conversations with Storytelling Coach Melissa Reaves as she reflected on her experience with and relationship to racism. But our (white) stories aren’t the ones that need to be told right now: stories of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) do.

What is Melanin Stories Matter

Melanin Stories Matter, produced by Story Fruition: This storytelling program showcases the impact of racism on the everyday life of BIPOC through individual stories. Told from a variety of perspectives, guest storytellers will provide a glimpse into some of the moments, big and small, that have dramatically shaped their lives.

The first Melanin Stories Matter show will be on Friday, September 4 and we’d love for you to join us. We’re excited for all of the storytellers, but you might recognize our own Kristina Diaz on the roster!
